I was very pleased to see that the Dan Gilmore Times
called the election wrong, and just as all the polls were predicting,
Obama has won with a landslide share of the Electoral College. When the
remaining states are done tallying the vote, it looks as if FiveThirtyEight.com was pretty close to dead on with their predictions.
Ironically,
McCain’s best speech (in my opinion, and that of a lot of election
night commentators) was his concession, and I think it says something
for the quality of each candidates supporters that McCain’s positive
comments about Obama were booed, yet no-one booed Obama’s positive
comments about McCain and his talk about working together with McCain
“to renew this nation’s promise in the months ahead.”
In fact, Obama’s comments on McCain were cheered, if not as widely as other statements.
Perhaps
if McCain had managed that tone throughout the election, things would
have turned out differently for him and the Republican Party.
Thankfully, the American people chose hope over fear, hate, negativity and downright bizarrely un-Presidential poses:

I called this one for the Democrats eight years ago, although at that time and up til this summer I thought it would be Hillary.

Welcome to the United Socialist States of America.
I hope all the people who voted for Obama are his first victims of Socialism. And they will be!
Actually, I'm tickled pink. This is going to be more entertaining than a (Karl) Marx Brothers movie!
Actually, I'm a proud Anarcho-Capitalist!
Addendum:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anarcho-capitalism
"I
define anarchist society as one where there is no legal possibility for
coercive aggression against the person or property of any individual.
Anarchists oppose the State because it has its very being in such
aggression, namely, the expropriation of private property through
taxation, the coercive exclusion of other providers of defense service
from its territory, and all of the other depredations and coercions
that are built upon these twin foci of invasions of individual rights."
